It was another long, three-day weekend at the pool, but this year's group of Masters Swim Dogs really put on a show by taking 8th place overall in the meet. Our highest place before was 19th, so that was quite an improvement from the past. The Swim Dogs' 560 points had to be the highest "per person" total as we only had nine swimmers. The highlight of the meet had to be the overall victory for the team in the Mixed 200 Medley Relay with Chris, Richard L, Teri, and Jan. They were truly awesome! Everyone had some great performances and everyone who swam finished in the Top Five with several event winners. Jan was a superstar by showing tremendous speed and technique. We would have moved up ahead of 8th had she been there on Sunday. Coach Mark walked away with the High Point honor in his age group with 99 points. He's not really the best in his age group, but he is the dumbest by swimming 16 races over three days including the mile, the thousand, the 200 fly, back, and breast with several others thrown in.
