Overall, we had 370 "Splashes" with tons of best times. I don't have times for many of the swimmers, but everyone looked awesome. I was very happy with the performances. We did have 55 DQs (15%), 12 scratches, 2 no-shows, and 5 excused absences. That's not too bad. It was great how nearly everyone stepped up to swim all five events. That's not easy. And, I was pleased with how everyone performed on the blocks during the starting commands. This is very important to me. We also exhibited lots of great sportsmanship, and I particularly liked all the cheering and shaking hands. Special thanks to all the volunteers for the meet, especially the GW swim team for timing, concessions, and heating. As I woke up and saw all the snow this morning, I couldn't help but be thankful for our great back-up plan since we didn't get into the Loveland meet. It was a blessing in disguise. Unfortunately, these times do not count toward State Meet Qualifying, but several times were fast enough to achieve the time standard. Click here for RESULTS by NAME.
