:: Loveland Heart Of Winter (1/18/08)

The Loveland Heart of Winter Meet from January 18th through 20th was a huge success!  13 Swim Dogs competed, and everyone had a great time.

Congratulations to Phoebe, Sonja, Chloe, Eden, Julia, Theo, Lily, Kara, Hattie, Louis, Trevor, and Rachel for making our first meet so much fun.

Dana and I were so excited to see how everyone has improved over Summer League.  In several events, Swim Dogs improved by over :10 seconds!

The most exciting for me was when Eden Turnbow finished the 100-yard freestyle and even placed the the Top 16 for 8 & Unders!  Last summer was the first time she had even swum a 25!

It was also fun to see Phoebe Briney swim the 50 back.  Dana remembers how hard it was this last summer to get her to even float on her back.

Special note also goes to Chloe Briney who competed in the 500 Freestyle on Friday night.  She was SUPER as the very first Swim Dog to hit the water in a swim meet...EVER!

Thanks to all the parents who made the drive up to Loveland.  I hope you enjoyed watching your children swim.
